Hedland was my first north west motocross round away from my home track... broome. i really enjoyed it. getting myself second for the weekend, and beating state number 3 to the holeshot in one race (i was so happy i almost fell on the first table top, lol :-P). the atmosphere after the event was great, as it was the last round of 5, competed throughout the northwest in Newman, Karatha, Wickam, Parraburdoo, and of course... Port Hedland. After presentation, which we left at about 11pm from Hedland golf club, where we played hide and seek like 5 year olds, except all over 18 holes (it was impossible to find anyone), then we went back to the house of the person we were staying with. Anyway, for me, Port Hedland was an experience, the track was great but the weather couldnt get any crappier. wind so strong that i would almost get taken back to broome if i jumped too high.
