Yesterday was the 1st time i've hopped on my bike in 5 months (literally). As you can imagine i was all over the place. I took it easy for the first.... about 5 laps..... then i decided i was comfortable enough on my bike to see where i was at... in fitness and speed. I started to put the throttle on and see if i could lap some of the other riders.... either i've got alot worse... or the riders i was targetting rode over the holidays.... ALOT!
It took me WAY longer than expected to even catch up to other riders after leaving the pits late.... James Hiel has improved so much over the holiday... "nice riding on the new bike James," Jesse Smith and James Hiel had an awesome battle in the last round yesterday... it was one of the longest i've seen in ages... after stupidly coming off in a corner and taking ages to get back on, Jesse and James rode past me, both absolutely on fire... you wouldn't have been able to say, "Jesse 1st, James 2nd," the positions were changing 2-3 times per corner!!!!!! I hung back behind the 2 of them fer afew laps... saying to myself 'man, this needs to go on my blog!'
